This one’s for all you animal lovers out there…this little guy’s name in Bamboo and I had the absolute pleasure of being able to feed and care for him this morning. I’m once again asking for your help with a very worthy cause. I have been volunteering with Refuge for Wildlife here in Nosara…spending my time feeding the infants, cutting lots of fruit, cleaning poopie blankets and most importantly just holding and loving these adorable creatures.

Founded in January of 1999 the refuge has been a place for the injured, displaced and orphaned wildlife from Nosara and the Nicoya Peninsula region of Costa Rica for 15 years. The Refuge receives and treats all types of wild animals, however the Howler Monkeys have become their specialty. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and then release these animals and equally important by helping to prevent these injuries from occurring through spreading public awareness and facilitating installation of safety equipment on electrical lines.

They are in need of some assistance in two ways, the first is their desire to add a nursery to the existing property due to the need of more space for additional animals. Secondly, we can help by putting guards over the transformers on the electrical wires to stop these monkeys from becoming injured, burned, maimed and even dying. Your donations will go directly to their cause, which I am very proud to be a part of.

I am also teaching multiple self defense classes here in Nosara and collecting donations which will go towards this wonderful cause. Please spare what you can so we can make a difference and save some of these beautiful animals from further harm…and help make the ones who have already suffered so much find a happier existence once again. Please click on the link below to be taken to the Jessica Marie Health Education Fund page so that I can track all of the donations made.

Thank you so very much for your support, I know Jess would be so very excited to be a part of this and I feel wonderful being able to honor her once again in this way…so thank you for helping me to do that.

Please feel free to check out Refuge for Wildlife’s Facebook page or even give them a Like:) https://www.facebook.com/refugeforwildlife/timeline

God Bless!
